What is the difference between active and passive capacitive pens?

  1. Different principles
Passive capacitive pen: The enough touch area of the pen tip can absorb enough electrical signals to simulate a finger and transmit this electrical signal to the hand through a conductive pen.
Active capacitive pen: A circuit like a pump actively draws more current and requires a battery (either a rechargeable battery or a standard replaceable battery).
  2. Different accuracy
The tip of the active capacitor pen is thinner than that of the passive capacitor pen, so the active capacitor pen is more accurate than the passive capacitor pen, but it cannot be used at all when the capacity of the active capacitor pen is zero.
  3. Different nib diameters
Passive capacitive pen: the diameter of the pen tip exceeds 6mm
Active capacitive pen: the diameter of the pen tip is 3mm or less
